I believe that every woman is unique and must be free and responsible for her choices. I believe that everyone should have access to support with respect and confidentiality, regardless of their ethnic origins, socio-economic status, gender, or sexuality. I believe in kindness, listening, and empathy to establish a trustful relationship.
Originally from Coteau, I grew up in the Roannais region until the day I decided to leave France to try the expatriation adventure. So, at 25 years old, I found myself in Canada, in front of this new page of my life to be written. It was in Quebec that I had the chance to make the richest and most important acquaintances, which would have a great influence on my story and choices.
In 2014, I obtained the Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Nursing, and then the diploma from the Order of Nurses of Quebec (OIIQ)
I then worked in a hospital setting on various care units, such as the hematology and oncology service, palliative care, or general medicine.
Then I followed my husband, originally from the United States, to Louisiana in New Orleans where we became parents for the first time and where I had my first experiences with breastfeeding as a mom. I was already fascinated by this bond between a mother and her child, and it was at that moment that supporting mothers and families simply presented itself as an obvious choice, and became my new professional project.
We then moved to Colorado, where I had the privilege of learning my profession in an obstetrics and gynecology clinic, alongside the medical teams, while being supervised by a certified lactation consultant IBCLC who was able to pass on her knowledge and guide me in my learning to improve and prepare myself as best as possible in this beautiful adventure.
Thus, in 2022, I obtained the Breastfeeding Specialization Certificate, as well as a Certificate of Competence in Communication in the Breastfeeding Counseling Relationship.
And it was in July 2024 that I obtained the International Diploma of Certified Lactation Consultant IBCLC in Colorado, a few days before our return to France.
I am now 41 years old and the happy mother of 2 wonderful children, a 5-year-old son whom I breastfed until he was 14 months old, and a 2-year-old daughter whom I am still breastfeeding... My family and I are now settled in Roanne, ready for the French adventure, in front of a new page to be written…
